Anti-ligature Specialist and General Doors, Windows, Furniture, Accessories and Associated Services
Introduction
The Anti-ligature Specialist and General Doors, Windows, Furniture, Accessories, and Associated Services Framework is a structured procurement arrangement managed by NHS Commercial Solutions. This framework agreement, which is not a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), extends until the 26th of September, 2025. It is designed to streamline the procurement of specialised and general furnishings, fittings, and ancillary services, making it an efficient resource for NHS organisations and other public sector bodies. The framework allows these entities to obtain necessary professional services, including the supply, installation, and maintenance of anti-ligature and specialist equipment, ensuring compliance with current safety and operational standards.
Context & Use Case
This framework was established to address the specific needs of public sector organisations, particularly within the healthcare environment, where safety and functionality are paramount. It covers the procurement of anti-ligature products, which are critical in preventing self-harm and ensuring the safety of vulnerable individuals in healthcare settings. The framework also facilitates the procurement of general doors, windows, and furniture, thereby supporting a comprehensive range of requirements from standard operational needs to specialised safety considerations. Contracting authorities utilise this framework to access pre-approved suppliers, ensuring both compliance with procurement regulations and the availability of high-quality, vetted products and services.
Scope of Services
The framework is organised into several lots, each focusing on different aspects of service and product provision: 1. Consultancy and Professional Services: This lot includes professional consultancy services such as site surveying, planning, design, safety audits, maintenance and repairs, and training services. It allows for direct awards or mini-competition tender exercises, ensuring flexibility and compliance with Public Contracts Regulations 2015. 2. Anti-ligature Doors, Windows, and Furniture: This lot covers internal and external anti-barricade doors and devices, anti-ligature fixtures, and associated services such as installation, training, and maintenance. It is particularly relevant for environments requiring enhanced safety features. 3. General Doors, Windows, and Furniture: This lot includes fire-rated, acoustic, thermal insulation, security, and other specialised doors and windows. It also covers accessories and services necessary for installation and maintenance. 4. Bespoke Offers: This lot combines products and services from the previous three lots, offering innovative and future-proof solutions tailored to specific needs.
Who Can Apply
The framework is open to suppliers who can demonstrate the capability to deliver the specified services and products. Suitable applicants include companies specialising in consultancy, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of doors, windows, and furniture, particularly those with experience in anti-ligature solutions. While this is not a DPS, meaning applications are not open throughout its lifetime, suppliers can still participate in the mini-competitions or seek direct award opportunities as specified in the framework.
Buyer Benefits
For public sector buyers, utilising this framework ensures compliance with existing procurement regulations while providing access to a network of pre-approved suppliers. This not only accelerates the procurement process but also guarantees competitive pricing and high-quality standards. The ability to conduct mini-competitions or direct awards offers flexibility and adaptability to meet specific project requirements efficiently.
